for speech class we are doign a debate. i need to come up with a controversial topic to debate. all the ones i thought of so far got shut down D:
any ideas?
the only thing we can't do is capitol punishment or abortion.

yes, im on a boredom quest, digging up old topics

we did gambling because we couldn't do communism vs. fascism and there was not enough information on sex offenders.
i was pro gambling and we won the opinion part but the points part went to the other side. for my final rebuttal, i stood there tlaking for like 30 seconds and then i didn't knwo what to do so i stood there awkwardly "i uh.... yeah, i don't know what i'm saying so i'm umm.. i'm gonna go sit down..." and i went and sat. it was so awkward and embarassing.

Agh, I have to do a speech in English that reminds me of this. It's a persuasive speech, but we had to pick somewhat of a controversial topic.
I chose that I'm for school uniforms. I haven't written jack shit about it and we're supposed to be presenting them Tuesday. WITH visual aids. Which I have none of... Dammit.

lmfao. uniforms are gayyyy but its so easy to get ready for school, you have no idea.

I did my speech and the majority of my class attacked me asking me all of these questions because they're against uniforms. But I got a 29 out of 30 on it! I got points docked because I talked way too fast.
