so i've been ~~secretly working at this music shop for over a month, right? well my brother takes piano there on thursdays and i've avoided him this long, and nobody in my family had any idea i worked there, they just noticed i would be gone for long blocks of time. today, i was sitting front desk and he walked in. whoops. he was just as shocked as i!
i don't want my mother to find out because she'll stop paying for the gas in my car :X

same. i think mark and travis are solid. it's tom who i'm worried about. if he tries to fuck with shit too much it could end up sucking. but he is a good songwriter (except his lyrics have never been that great). songs like always, asthenia and not now are examples of tom pushing the bounds of blink and it paying off. those are great songs. even in angels and airwaves, the adventure and everything's magic are, at their core, good songs. tom tries to dress them up with reverb and other guitar effects and he sings weird, so they don't come off as well, but i still think they're good. if he's consistent, which he has been mostly for like 15 years, then blink will be good still. but if he continues with this "i am jesus christ, the son of god" bullshit and tries too hard to break pattern and be like bono from u2, then it could go downhill. i'd bet it's gonna be good.

but yeah, i totally agree. if tom messes with it too much and continues using that RIDICULOUS voice from AVA, blink just won't be... blink. haha, matt had sent me a link earlier from 182online.com and i was reading the comments from someone and they said, "we want blink 182, not blink and airwaves." and i agree. look up videos on youtube of tom singing a song of blink's in AVA versus him singing while a member of blink pre-hiatus. it's completely different. when in blink, his voice was HIS voice, it sounded natural. recently, like on Jay Leno, it sounded NOTHING like him. and if he keeps going that way, i won't be able to just enjoy the new material like i usually do.

i just want their new shit to be something absolutely astounding. something incredible. yeah yeah, they say post-hardcore, pfft, whatever. this is our favorite band we're talking about. and regardless of how they may change/tweak their music, we should stick by and support. but if Tom is gonna continue on his godly path, i won't be able to consider myself a true fan of blink, cause i just don't enjoy him anymore.

except in the recent interview on 182online.com, the interview that was on a radio station. i liked him there. he was funny. and i LOLed many times. (damn. i wrote a book)

on friday i was at this shitty party at a friend's house, right? i had to walk out with one of my friends so she could get a hoodie out of my car because she was leaving. then gerard and i sat out front for a little while, talking about ~~serious stuff, and the girl whose house it was, called me and left me a voicemail yelling at me and saying "i don't know where the fuck you are, but you're not using me as a cover. so get your ass back to my house, take your shit, and leave." we were the two to get yelled at, yet there were people in her backyard making out the whole time and she didn't know where they went either. fuckthat.

I have been gone a long long time.

Ok- So I've had a lot of crazy experiences lately that include crazy parties, weed, sex, and almost getting kicked out of the house (no joke), but at this moment it's only appropriate that I talk about one thing!
And that is... I should be dead right now, seriously!
Matt and Ashley know the main idea due to Facebook wall-writing, but I'll talk about it on here.

Last Wednesday, I smoked a bunch of weed with Damon and our friend Cody. We were meeting up with two of my other friends, Bethany and Julia, at the beach. So we met them at the beach, smoked some more weed, then I left Damon's car and got in Bethany's car. We were driving down the road to go back into town and Bethany (driver) looks down at her phone... We go in the ditch. I'm sitting in the backseat, no seatbelt (highly unusual for me), and we hit two driveway approaches, the car flies and hits tree branches 9 feet in the air, we flip end over end, then land and roll. The car got torn apart on the bottom, the engine got ripped out. It was fucking brutal.
My friends made it out with a few bumps and bruises. Me- I'm so lucky I didn't fly out of the window. They had to saw me out with "The Jaws of Life". I dislocated my right knee, got a nasty sprain and fracture in my left ankle/foot, horrible concussion (I don't remember most of the accident or most of that day), and fucked up my left shoulder. I was confined to a wheelchair for a few days, but I've gone to the doctor and had physical therapy today and I have two smaller braces on my legs and can walk! Well, I waddle a little. But yes. It was an insane experience.
